The short version: we published 60 location pages for a multi-location physical therapy group between July and September 2026. Over those 13 weeks the site’s average Google position moved from 29.5 to 15.6 and it appeared in search 39% more often. Clicks have not followed yet. This report shows the weekly numbers and says plainly where the campaign stands.
We built this client’s website and run its SEO. We don’t name clients on our site.
What we did
A physical therapy group serves patients in many towns from a handful of clinics. Before the campaign, the site had little to say to someone searching in a town without a clinic in its name. We wrote one page for each town the clinics serve: who the nearest team is, how to get there, and what conditions they treat.
| Month (2026) | Location pages published |
|---|---|
| July | 10 |
| August | 10 |
| September | 40 |
How we measured
| Source | Google Search Console, weekly, July 6 to September 28, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Average position | Weighted by search appearances, across every page of the site |
| Comparison | The first four weeks against the last four |
The results
| Measure | First four weeks | Last four weeks |
|---|---|---|
| Average Google position | 29.5 | 15.6 |
| Search appearances | 6,937 | 9,634 |
| Pages appearing in search each week | 51 | 56 |
| Clicks from search | 24 | 18 |
The weekly average position shows the direction. It sat between 26 and 34 for the first five weeks, reached the low 20s in late August, and was between 12 and 19 for the last four weeks.
One new location page went from nothing to 333 search appearances in four weeks at an average position of 12. Two older state-level pages moved up as well, from positions in the 50s and 60s to 38.
What did not move
- Clicks. 24 in the first four weeks, 18 in the last four. An average position of 15 is the top of page two. Most clicks go to the first few results on page one.
- The number of pages appearing rose only from 51 to 56 a week, because 40 of the 60 pages were published in the final month and Google had not yet picked most of them up.
What this means for a business with several locations
- Rankings move before clicks do. Going from page three to page two is real progress that produces almost no visits. The visits come with page one.
- A town page gives Google something to rank. The new page that reached position 12 did not exist in July.
- Judge a content campaign at six months, not three. At three months the question is whether positions are heading the right way. Here they are.
Limits
- One group, one industry, 13 weeks. It is a record of what happened, not a controlled test.
- We have search data for this site but not visit or appointment data, so this report cannot say anything about patients booked.
- Two-thirds of the pages are too new to judge. We will update this report when they have had three months.
